Polls open at the end of the month

Student leaders are scheduled to discuss upcoming elections and changes to the student government’s bylaws during the April 2 meeting of the Associated Students of Lane Community College Senate.

The ASLCC election will begin March 28 and continue through May 1. Credit-students who attend class on the main campus can vote in the student election online using their MyLane accounts.

Last year, fewer than 0.1 percent of Lane students voted in the ASLCC general election, but students managed to elect a full government and pass four ballot measures before the polls closed.

The deadline for students to file the necessary paperwork to become candidates in the ASLCC election is April 9.

The ASLCC Senate meets Wednesdays at 4 p.m. in the Building 3 boardroom.
