Band members Tiana Husted, Melissa Randel and Ben Latimer get together to rehearse on Monday evenings in a small dark room at Husted’s house. The trio make up a band called Super Honey that uses found sounds and vocal harmonies to create a dark feel in a style they call “experimental bass.” These found sounds can be anything from drumming on a trash can to dropping a lit match into a cup of water. The sounds are recorded then made into samples that Husted can play live with the push of a button. The band has been recently playing in front crowds of a couple hundred and are playing their next show at the Hi-Fi music hall on May 11.
