Student senate attempts to suspend bylaws [Video]

On April 19, the student senate held an emergency meeting where the senate unanimously voted to suspend their bylaws for the rest of Spring Term, so that more students would be able to run for student government. This action has sparked controversy amongst members of ASLCC and Lane staff. This suspension was denied after discussions with the ASLCC and Lane lawyers determined that the suspension was null-and-void. The Elections Committee now has total control over the elections process.
